Founder & Principal Architect
Vamsi Ballepu is the Founder and Principal Architect of TEVA Architects. His work is driven by a deep interest in architecture, construction, materiality, and the relationship between buildings and nature. He believes that thoughtful design emerges from a clear understanding of context, craftsmanship, and the process of building.
He completed his Bachelor of Architecture at Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU) before pursuing a Master’s in Advanced Construction Management at NICMAR. He began his professional journey with leading architectural firms in Bangalore and Hyderabad, where he built a strong foundation in design development, technical detailing, and project execution across diverse typologies.
He later gained significant international experience in Sri Lanka, where he worked on award-winning luxury hospitality and boutique resort projects. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, he developed a deeper understanding of hospitality design, construction precision, climate-responsive architecture, and the integration of buildings within natural landscapes.
Upon returning to India, he collaborated with design practices in Hyderabad, further broadening his expertise across architecture, interiors, and large-scale developments. He subsequently established an independent practice, delivering projects of varied scales and typologies before co-founding TEVA Architects in 2022.
At TEVA, Vamsi leads the architectural vision and technical execution of the studio’s projects, with a particular focus on hospitality, residential, and commercial developments. His work is guided by a commitment to creating architecture that is timeless, functional, and deeply connected to its context.
