Forefathers Brewery is conceived as a neighbourhood destination that responds to the area’s calm residential character. Unlike conventional urban breweries, the project embraces the scale and rhythm of its surroundings, creating a welcoming social space rooted within the avenue-road context and fostering a strong connection with the community.
The architectural language is defined by a restrained palette of natural, locally inspired materials that evoke warmth. Handmade terracotta bricks, clay roof tiles, exposed basalt stone, textured plaster, timber, and steel are layered together to celebrate craftsmanship and material honesty. The earthy textures soften the industrial character of the brewery while allowing the building to age gracefully.
Landscape plays an equally important role in shaping the experience. Greenery is complemented with planted courts and semi-open dining areas, blurring the boundary between indoors and outdoors. Tropical plants, natural ventilation, filtered daylight, and an earthy material palette create a relaxed environment, making Forefathers feel like a natural extension of the neighbourhood.
